Client Comfort
Even after 20-plus years in the skin care business, I am constantly on the lookout for the latest and greatest ways to keep my clients comfortable during electrolysis. As someone who at one time worked in the dental field, I have learned the benefits and rewards of positioning for client comfort. When I perform electrolysis on clients, especially working in the neck and chin area, I position them with their head back to keep the skin tight. Tight makes insertions easier and more comfortable for clients and helps the procedure of permanent hair removal move along quickly and to inhibit the chance of bruising.

I get the clients to help out as well, by having them to stretch back the skin on their neck with their hands to create maximum tautness, and to open their mouth slightly to make that area of the skin tight enabling inserting the needle and epilating the hair easier. With these proven methods, and my use of insulated needles that prevents the top layer of the skin from being over-treated, permanent hair removal becomes a more comfortable and relaxed experience for the client.
But That’s Not All
All the time I’m performing electrolysis and skin care, I also play soothing music ranging anywhere from new age, the Eagles to Sade to get the client to relax and be in a peaceful state. This is important part of treatment because if you keep your clients comfortable and free of stress, electrolysis treatments are easier to perform and hair is removed more quickly and on top of that they’ll love you for it! There’s nothing better than working with my clients to keep them comfy and at ease for a rewarding permanent hair removal experience.
